Using our online catalog, you can search for books and other library materials, renew your library materials, and place your own reserves for items not on the shelf. Also, you may look at your own library account to see items you have checked out and to view your reserves, overdues, and fines.
Logging Into Your Account
Click the "My Account " link on the top right-hand side of
the library homepage. You will be asked to enter your library card
barcode number and your password. If this is your first time logging
into your account, enter the last four digits of the phone number
we have on record in the library as your password. You will be prompted
to change your password at that time. Once you log in your "Account
Summary" will be displayed so that you can verify the phone numbers,
e-mail and mailing addresses that the library has on record.
Renewing Items
After logging into your account (see instructions above),
click the "Items Checked Out" link. A list of all the items charged
out to you will appear. Check the boxes under the "Select"
column for any items you wish to renew, then click the "Renew Selected
Items " button. A new due date will appear after each title. Not all
materials have the same loan periods, so be sure to verify the due
date of each item. If the due date does not change, the item has not
been renewed. Items renewed after midnight on the original due date
will be considered overdue and charged a fine. It is the patron's
responsibity to make sure that all materials have been renewed properly,
so you may wish to print a copy of the renewal page for your records.
Call the library at 452-2850 if you are having difficulties renewing
online.
Cutural passes, items on reserve for other patrons, interlibrary loans, and summer reading books cannot be renewed. Most other items can be renewed once.
Reserving an Item
After logging into your account (see instructions above),
click the "Advanced Search" tab. You have a variety of search options,
such as title, author, subject or series. You can also limit your
search to a particular format, like audiobook, large print, video
recording or music. After you locate the item, look for its status.
If an item is listed as "Checked Out," you may click the "Request
Item" link to place a reserve. Verify your contact information and
the library where you wish to pick up the item and click "Request
Item." You can go to "My Account" and click the "Items on Hold" link
to verify that the hold has been placed or the see the status of any
items you have requested. Do not place a request
on an item listed as "Checked In." If you would like the library to
hold an item that is currently on the shelf, contact us by phone at
452-2850.
Requesting an Item from Another Library
If you do not find the item you are looking for in our library,
you may change your search to "All Libraries in Our Network"
instead of "This Library." This will allow you to search
other libraries in the Bibliomation network. When you locate what
you are looking for, click the "Request Item" link and follow
the instructions above. Please be aware that
libraries do not always send their materials through the interlibrary
loan system, particularly new items or audiovisual materials. If no
Bibliomation library will accept your reserve, please contact our
Reference Desk at 452-2850.
Feel free to contact us at 452-2850 if you any problems accessing
the library from home.
