In order to make library books, DVDs, jigsaw puzzles, and other materials available to the public while there is no access to the library building, we are instituting a “Library-to-Go” pick-up service.  Patrons who want to borrow materials can send an email to  Give us your name and your library barcode and tell us what items you would like to check out.  Library staff will pull the materials, check them out to you, and call to let you know when they are ready.  Library-to-Go hours are M-W 10 a.m.-7 p.m., Th &F 10 a.m.- 5 p.m., and Sat 10-4 and are subject to change.

If you are unable to access a computer, you may also call the Reference Desk at (203) 452-2852. Please note that this may take longer to process your items.

Other “Library-to-Go” services:

  • Wireless printing from your home to the library via PrinterOn.  To print an uploadable document or a webpage, fill your info into the PrinterOn form.  To print an email, just forward it to (color) or (b/w).  Call the library to let us know you have sent the print job.  We will let you know when it is printed and ready to pick up.  Cost: B/W – 15 cents; Color – 25 cents.
  • Get a library card or renew and existing one (Monroe patrons only.)  Fill out the form for Adults (age 16 and older) or Children (under 16).  For new cards, email us a photo of your Monroe driver’s license or bring it with you to show when we call to tell you your card is ready.
  • Downloadable eBooks, audiobooks, magazines, and video available through Libby/OverDrive, Hoopla, and RB Digital platforms.  Call if you need help.
  • Faxing is available for $1.00 per page. Be sure to call ahead to let us know you are coming.
  • Wireless Hotspots (limited number)
  • Morningstar Online Investment Research Center is available to one Monroe patron at a time.  Log in with your library card barcode.  Wait and try again if it is busy.
  • Creativebug: thousands of award-winning art & craft video classes taught by recognized design experts and artists.  Log in with your Monroe Library card barcode.
